Aimee C. Harrison (she/they) is a book designer and typesetter with more than eight years of experience in university press and small press publishing. A full time book designer with Duke University Press, they also currently manage freelancers and cover assignments for SUNY Press, and serve as a designer for the Elephants. Other previous clients include Toggle Books, Lever Press, Amherst College Press, and Essay Press. Their typesetting follows an XML first workflow, and is always styled for easy ebook conversion. As a visual artist and poet, they enjoy working directly with writers to style complicated texts. They are comfortable working from their own designs or from provided specs.
